Here comes my first ever 2 star review. And it's my own damn fault. I was running to my gate after a ridiculous security line and just wanted an ice cold beer. I swung into the first restaurant with an open seat and DID NOT CHECK YELP! What was I thinking??

Unfortunately, my gamble did not pay off. My server was sweet and attentive, my beer was, in fact, cold, and I made it to my gate with time to spare. But that is where the positives end.

I ordered their Hef and it was very odd. A very strong anise flavor pervaded the whole beer and I just couldn't get behind it. It was served with an orange which at least cut through some of the oddness.

I ordered the Märzen BBQ burger, which came out in 4 minutes. That is not a very good sign. It was pretty gross. The ratio of bun to meat was ridiculous. After one bite, I removed the top bun and had to use my (PLASTIC) fork and knife so that I wasn't only eating bread. I ordered the burger Medium - it was Well Done. But I mean...it's an airport restaurant. I wasn't expecting that much. It had soggy pickles and floppy, microwaved bacon. The fries were clearly from a frozen bag, but they at least came out hot. This lackluster burger set me back $17 with a $11 beer. Ouch.

Lesson learned. Check Yelp...even when you're running behind and need a pre-flight buzz.

Do not eat here unless you have a lot of time before your flight. They take forever to give you your food and they'll also serve people that arrived way after you first. Feels like there's nobody running the place.

Left without eating. Food never arrived even after 45 minutes! Incredible.

So listen.... if you are going to get upset at my 3 star review of Biersch, relax. This is an airport restaurant.
It's still Gordon Biersch but you can take the quality of the food and the service down a notch or two.
The kobe sliders were fine but not great. Seemed a bit dry and put together sloppy.
Beer was good of course. It IS Gordon Biersch.
All in all an overpriced airport lunch in a busy, dirty restaurant, with slow service by undertrained staff.
    Typical airport experience.

I just wanted a meal close to my gate. The BBQ burger was a-okay but the famous garlic fries were bland except for spots with garlic clusters which tastes like they were soaked in vinegar. The $10 beers are served with a lot of head. I had no issues with my bartender/server but I saw how short and dismissive to others which I can't ignore.

Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.

    June 22, 2019 Saturday - 4:45 PM for a drink
    2 Adults

    Atmosphere - 2 stars
    Food - 1 stars
    Service - 1 stars

Background - A drink before our flight to Europe.  It has been years since I had be to one of the Gordon Biersch locations.

Atmosphere - Typical airport bar, nothing to get excited about, but the place could have used a good cleaning.

    Food
Drinks - Many of you know I am IPA fan.  So that is what I ordered.  The receipt said I ordered a Pilsner.  Perhaps that is why it was one of the worst IPAs I ever had.

Service - It is an airport and your waitress should be checking in a lot with you.  People are on the clock.  This did not happen, it was difficult to get my wife's water refilled.  There was one other waitress working the room this afternoon.  She yelled to the whole place to find out whose cell phone was on a table.  A lady walked up and indicated it was her.  The waitress then started to lecture the poor lady that this was her section and could not be plugged in there.  The place was empty.  I could not even tell you how many people came in and sat down, looked at the menu, and left.

Future - No future visit for me at this location.
